Liverpool previously rejected a £70 million bid from Saudi Arabia in January, but fresh interest remains from Saudi clubs and European sides including Atletico Madrid.
A key factor in the club’s decision could be a performance-based clause in the original deal with Benfica: if Nunez reaches 60 starts in the Premier League and Champions League, Liverpool owe an additional €5 million. He currently sits on 59 — making another start this season unlikely.
