Liverpool eye €60m Ademola Lookman in summer swap deal

Liverpool are reportedly plotting a summer swoop for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, according to Italian outlet Quotidiano Sportivo, with a potential swap deal being considered.

With Darwin Núñez likely to leave Anfield, the Reds are aiming to bolster their attack under new manager Arne Slot, despite comfortably winning the Premier League this season.

Busy window ahead for the champions

Alongside plans to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold—who has confirmed his departure—Liverpool are keen to strengthen up front.

Lookman, once of Everton, has hit top form in Serie A with 20 goals and 7 assists in 39 games this season. Versatile and dynamic, the Nigerian international could add depth and quality to Liverpool’s forward line.

The Reds were previously interested in January, but Atalanta refused to sell mid-season. Now, they’ve set a €60 million (£50.4m) price tag on the 27-year-old.

One option being explored includes Juventus winger Federico Chiesa being involved in a swap deal to reduce the overall fee.

Liverpool are also in advanced negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong as they eye defensive reinforcements.
